Born in 1985 in Nantes, Caroline Limousin (alias Cali) devoted herself from a young age to drawing. Pretty advanced for her age, at seven, she already began taking drawing classes. Her teacher, surprised by her talent and aware of her potential, directed her to an adult section.
The use of the Bic pen? This came later. While working in Switzerland, on a day of trouble, Cali began to draw the portrait of Barack Obama with the Bic pen.
Equipped with a double degree in Applied Arts from Rennes and Nantes, Cali started in Paris before settling in Saint-Tropez, the inescapable city of the French Riviera where her work was quickly noticed. She began exhibiting there in 2011.
In 2013, she moved to Morocco where she signed a contract with the "BCK" Gallery of Marrakech. The following year, it was with "La Galerie 38" that she began her adventure and took residence in Casablanca. Today, Cali lives between her workshop of the Côte d'Azur and that of Marrakech.
